I’ve overlooked this logo countless times and, to be honest, probably would have never looked into Acciona at all if not for this blog post. What I found was a global company with vested interests in infrastructure and energy, made up of over 100 different individual companies working in numerous business divisions. It’s clear that Acciona wants to be a major player in corporate responsibility and sustainable business.

I can understand where the leaf/tree logo would speak to both the environmental and structural aspects of Acciona’s business, but the mark seems very forgettable, successfully blending into the competitive landscape. A company with such bold aspirations should have a brand to match. Still, although the Acciona identity is underwhelming, this Sim City-esque interactive map is a surprisingly refreshing explanation of all of its relevant industries. This sort of effort makes me think that there is hope.
