Astronaut led the brand strategy and launch of a new brand for a 40-year old industrial cleaning equipment company with a global reach of more than 700 distributors. Initially, Alkota struggled with the disconnect between their humble, hands-on production techniques and customer perception that their products roll modern assembly lines — when in truth, Alkota operates in a large workshop environment with custom-build equipment a staple of their business. That sets them apart. So we built the new brand around it. The result was a 20% leap in sales in the first quarter after we launched and growth that led to Alkota’s eventual acquisition by a large manufacturing holding company.
